SPRB – SOCIEDAD PORTUARIA REGIONAL DE BARRANQUILLA
Multi-purpose ocean and river terminal located on the western banks of the Magdalena River which offers a wide range of marine services. It is located about 11 miles from Magdalena river mouth

Buenaventura

Mdo / mgo, IFO , provisions, fresh water, Slop reception, watchman. No dry-dock facilities The seabed is soft mud. NAABSA clause must be included in all C/P  contracts as this port is considerer under this special condition.

*Maximum authorized arrival/departure draft to the Port of Buenaventura is 34 ft BW.  Restriction is based on the entrance to Buenaventura as there is a bar located between the No.1 buoy  &  the No. 25 buoy - Vessel must take pilot 2 HR before high tide in order to cross the bar at exactly the full high tide. The draft at piers during low tide is between 29-30 ft BW. High tides will vary between 9 & 13 ft and also water density fluctuates between 1.006 and 1.014 over the mean therefore vessels with drafts over 30 ft will touch bottom alongside during the low tides

Pilot Assistance
It is compulsory for all domestic/foreign flag vessels over 500 GRT, for entering/departing , as well as shifting between berths.
Pilot boarding takes place only at fairway buoy 03° 47' 39,1'' N 77°19' 08,4'' W . Arrange a pilot ladder 1 meter above water level on portside. Distance from Pilot Station to the Port is 16 nautical miles.

Tug Assistance
It is compulsory for all vessels over 2,000 mt dwt. For vessels over 150 meters LOA, pilot may request a second tug. There are 4 tugs available.

Pilot Assistance
Pilot assistance compulsory for vessels above 500 grt going in/out of the port as well for shifting between piers. Pilot station/boarding position 0.5 nautical mile due S of the morro grande light. Santa Marta port control station and pilots can be contacted on VHF channels 11, 16 and 74. A pilot ladder shall be rigged on the starboard side of each Vessel unless otherwise instructed.

Tug Assistance
It is compulsory for all vessels over 2,000 grt. Four tugs available

Number Of Berths
7 berthing lines for general cargo in a cove forming an inner harbour, Totalling 1,085 mtrs. The pier No.3 is also used as liquid bulk loading/discharging dock, loading/discharging rate 120/150 mtons/hour, the pier No.4 is fitted for grains discharge with suction tower and shore crane 170 m/tons per hour in to two groups of silos, pier No.4 is also used as liquid bulk loading/discharging dock loading/discharging rate 120/150 mtons per hour.

Ruta del Carbón


CBGroup main achievement and goal until this day, a project patented under the law in Colombia dated on April 2008, book and file number 10-182-438

Transportation License: 001458 Dic. 26, 2007 Issued by the Department of Transportation of Colombia

CBGroup main Objective is to Transport a minimum of 70,000 Metric Tons of coal for month, by means of an efficient and sure operation that guarantees a highly standard of quality of the product and of the service

Warehouse Location

Accordingly with the location of the points of Origin and Destiny, the ideal place for the development of the warehouse is in Tocancipa – Cundinamarca.

Social Involvement

The project links in a direct way around 1,500 people, among drivers, administrative and operating personnel.
The number of families’ beneficiated by the project is around 4.700.
The project constitutes a model of competitiveness for the sector and the economy of the country.
              
Drivers/Operators

The operators are selected through a psychological, technical tests application process, study of security and professional evaluations of management that guarantee the excellent operation of the vehicles in highway, with logistic guarantee of the ARP Bolivar (a company in charge of support in highway like AAA)

Driver Performance and Control

The performance of the operators is evaluated permanently by means of the goals compliance, indicators monitoring in productivity, security and care of the vehicle.  Reinforced with the permanent training programs development, promotion and welfare, in which is involved the families, we achieve the integral improvement of human capital

Risk Reduction and Control

In order to the operation to be cover in all the risks involved an alliance with SEGUROS BOLIVAR SA (Insurance Company) will be made. This company would protect all the possible events that occur in the exercise of the contract.
